Doingkit — Save it. Actually do it.
DM an Instagram reel to Doingkit and it timestamps the clip into a guided, hands-free
session you can actually follow — workouts, recipes, and places. There is no new app
to install: send a reel to @doingkit.app
on Instagram and a private link comes back in the same thread.
How it works
- Share the reel: DM any workout, recipe, or place to Doingkit on Instagram.
- Get the steps: Doingkit watches it and timestamps every move, rest, and ingredient.
- Actually do it: open the private link and the trainer counts you down and auto-advances.
Frequently asked questions
- What is Doingkit?
- Doingkit turns an Instagram reel into a guided session you can actually follow. DM any workout, recipe, or travel reel to @doingkit.app and Doingkit watches it, timestamps every step, rest, and ingredient, and sends back a private link that cues you through it hands-free.
- How do I use Doingkit?
- There is nothing to install. Send a reel as a direct message to @doingkit.app on Instagram. Within moments you get a private link back in the same thread. Open it and the trainer shows the current step, counts you down, auto-advances to the next move, and resumes where you left off.
- Do I need to download an app?
- No. Doingkit runs in your browser through a private link that comes back in your Instagram DMs. There is no App Store download and no password. You can optionally add it to your Home Screen from Safari — that's a shortcut to the live site, not a separate app.
- What kinds of reels does Doingkit work with?
- Doingkit is built for reels you save to do later: workouts become a do-along trainer with timed sets and rest clocks; recipes become an ingredient list, equipment list, and step timeline; travel reels become a checkable list of places with a walking map.
- How does Doingkit sign me in?
- Doingkit identifies you through the Instagram account you message from, so your library is tied to your DMs. Any device sign-in uses a magic link — there are no passwords. That sign-in lasts 30 days on that browser and does not extend while you use the app. After it ends, message @doingkit.app the word Login and type the 5-minute code in the Home Screen app, or open the new link in Safari.
- Can I add Doingkit to my Home Screen?
- Yes. From Safari, Share → Add to Home Screen. The icon opens the live website, so updates appear the next time you open it with a network connection. You stay signed in for 30 days. After that the icon stays; message @doingkit.app the word Login and type the code in the app, or open the new link in Safari. Instagram's in-app browser cannot add the icon or share a login with Safari.
- Is Doingkit free?
- You can start for free by sending a reel to @doingkit.app. Doingkit offers a subscription that unlocks unlimited sessions and premium features. You only need an Instagram account to begin.
- How accurate are the timestamps?
- Doingkit uses an AI vision model to watch the reel end to end, so steps and timings come from what happens on screen rather than only the caption. AI can still miss, mistime, or misread a step, so check the session against the original reel before you follow along. Workouts, recipes, and travel notes are not professional advice.
- Does Doingkit save my place if I leave?
- Yes. Close the tab mid-session and come back whenever you want — Doingkit resumes on the exact step you were on.
Creators
Doingkit is a private library: nothing a user saves is published, browsed by others, or used to train AI
models. Every saved video credits its author and links back to the original post. A creator can message
@doingkit.app from their own Instagram account and say "opt out" to have everything they made
removed and refused in future. Details on the
content & creators policy.
